Behind the Sends: How Sendoso Keeps Your Data Safe
By Brianna Valleskey on January 10, 2019
Direct mail and data security aren’t two things you often hear about in the same sentence. But we’re in the business of not just handling data about our customers, but all of the data they share with us to execute their direct mail and gifting campaigns. And we want to protect all of that information.
We promise to never put our customers at risk, and we wanted to take a little time to share a few of the ways we keep your data—and more importantly, your customers’ data—secure.
How We Protect You
We recently partnered with Auth0, a recognized leader in the security industry, to utilize their identity-as-a-service solution within our own platform. This means that we’ll not only be able to connect with SAML-based directories like Okta that our customers use, but that we can leverage more data security features as part of the relationship.
We decided to use Auth0 because protecting every user is part of their framework. They have a number of detection services embedded in their offering (which saves us a lot of time from having to build them out ourselves). For example, we know that data breaches happen at huge companies like Sears, Whole Foods, and Delta. Auth0 helps us monitor password breaches. So if someone at your company used their work email to create an account with a company that was hacked, Auth0 will prompt them to reset their password for their Sendoso account.
Updates to Your Login Experience
Implementing Auth0 won’t change the user experience on our platform too much. In fact, it will actually make it better by opening up access to Single Sign On (SSO) authentication procedures. Sendoso customers can expect a cleaner and more seamless login experience (with a new module for your credentials). And those of you who use services like Okta will be able to connect to our system and manage Sendoso from inside their directories.
We take our customers’ privacy and security very seriously, which is why we’re making updates like these and more every day. Have questions? Feel free to reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org, We’d be happy to tell you more.
